[PLEASE READ] ISOverse Forum Guidelines
I’m essentially the game master creating the playground for people. You contribute however you please. If you take something to another place, you MUST cite the ISOverse. Artists and writers are encouraged to express the characters and worlds through any medium; the ISOverse is intended for you to let your imaginations run wild. I’m experimenting with shared storytelling and world-building. As a general rule for the website, any of the info I first publish is Immutable, meaning you can add but you cannot change. Have fun creating in these worlds! Create plot lines, characters, conflicts, powers, relationships, whatever, and fit them anywhere. Your decisions influence the story. Let’s build.
Some things to address:
Full transparency, everything originally posted in this forum is copyrighted. So, when I say cite the ISOverse if you take anything from here, please do. I write for the love of the game. I also recognize the society I live in; niggas gotta eat.
Off top, what you make is yours. If a story on here is monetized and your contributions are a part of that, you will be compensated. I don’t have specific numbers in mind, but I believe in worker’s rights.
Unless stated otherwise, I’ve already mapped the beginning and end of each story on the ISOverse.
My original thought in sharing the ISOverse was to find a team of people that would help me bring it to life. That thought has shifted. Now, I want to connect with people over something I’ve put a lot of time into. I’m curious as to what community may emerge. With that being said, please be respectful of my ideas, other people’s, and your own.
Oh, also, the original thought is still there. I guess it didn’t shift. It had a brain baby, which was that second thought. Anyway, I still want to get shit done. Sharing these stories is a part of my praxis as an afrofuturist. The images of the future need to be rich in thought, vivid in character, and cool as hell. I believe some of those images can be found in the stories of the ISOverse. If you find yourself believing that too, let’s cook…
